Tanya,
I have a doggie in need of a forever home. Below you will find information related to her and I am checking to see if her foster is willing to have her altered. The people who are involved in her care right now indicated to me that the incident mentioned below they believe was prompted by pain to the dog because the dog cried out right before the bite. She had been abused and neglected so it may have been a defensive action and an isolated incident since she has been fine since. Can you post this on your blog or send out a notice?
Thanks for your help,
Donna
Name: Mieka
Breed: Siberian Husky or Alaskan Malamute
Age: 2 to 3 years
Altered: No
Shots: Yes UTD
Get along with other dogs: Some: She is definitely an alpha female and would probably do best as an only dog or possibly with a docile male or a puppy. She wants to play and have fun with other dogs, but is a bit overbearing for most. She definitely wants to be the lady of the house. She is food aggressive with other dogs.
Get along with children: No. She is not good with young children. She bit the 3 year old child of the most recent owner - one bite and then released. Unknown what led up to the bite. Bite was in early June 2010.
Brief story: Meika is a sweet young lady who needs a forever home without children that will love her and teach her. She has been tied up outside, starved and neglected for at least a year of her life and is currently in foster care awaiting a forever home. She has a sweet personality and really wants to please her humans. She loves to run and play and would love to have a fenced in backyard to play in. She really enjoys being with her human friends as much as possible and loves to walk and sit by you. She would be a great company for the right person.
