ADOPTED!!!!Dear friends and colleagues,
We are yet again looking for a home for our dog, Biscuit. Many of you already know that Biscuit, though loving and friendly, is not a good fit for our family or neighborhood. If you know anyone who might be a good match for Biscuit, please forward them this email. We are desperate!
Biscuit, a yellow lab mix, is a big dog (100-110 lbs), but she is lovable and friendly. She loves to lick faces and sit on laps! She is only 15 months, so she is still a bit of a puppy, but she is potty trained and she has outgrown her chewing stage. She is a very spirited, high energy dog and needs a large yard/farm to run around on. Because of her size and energy level, she is not good with children; she plays with kids like she plays with other dogs--a log of jumping and nibbling (but never biting hard). She's great at catching frisbees and retrieving balls. Fortunately, she is not great at catching cats, but she loves to chase them. She'd make a teenager or an adult a very loyal and loving companion.
Her shots are due next month. We will pay for them either up front or when the new owners take her to the vet. She is also microchipped. She's crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night. We are happy to give the new owners her crate.
We will be taking Biscuit to a no-kill facility in Roanoke Friday evening if we don't find anyone local to take her. I'd really like to see her in a good home, though. I hate the thought of her spending an extended amount of time in a pen.
