ADOPTED!!! "Franklin is an extremely sweet, loving 4 year old Dachshund/Basset mix, but he needs a lot of attention because he has separation anxiety and is a "Velcro dog."(contributes to him having trouble being left alone for long periods of time) The husband works full time and the wife works part time and just started going back to school full time. As a result, they are just not able to be around as much or provide the best care for him anymore. They recently took him to the SPCA and after a few days they were told that he is "unadoptable" and would be put-down. They are now trying to find a home for him themselves to avoid having him put down.
Franklin gets along with other animals and currently lives with 2 cats. He loves to go for walks! When he is not playing, he will often curl up right beside you and nap. He knows how to sit, lay down, jump up, and high five (technically "low" five since his legs are so short). He also understands 'treat' and 'out' are to let him know you're taking him to the yard."
